WOW... new magic mouse is a 110% better than the mighty mouse despite a few missing feature. Expose and dashboard. You now have to use the keyboard for this, no hardship I suppose but was a nice feature of the mighty mouse. Also tried the apple software to try programming the features in. Didn't work.

May do abetter review in a few days once I used the properly, but for now... fantastic products.

Well, after having a cracking christmas and new year were now back into the same old routine! depressing or what!?! haha

Thank god all the snow has finally gone too!

Anyway, splashed out and kitted out the office with all new furniture etc.

Bought myself the wireless keyboard and magic mouse for the MAC, which should be here tomorrow ;-)

I may do a little review on both... watch this space.

Should never have got out of bed this morning!

First off, woke up with a cracking headache... again!

Took little fella to his friends 2nd birthday party, as much as we all like snow today I f****ing hated it.

On the way to the party, I was just pulling in the car park and skidded on some snow/ice ploughing side on into the curb. Initially I though I had only damaged the wheel and tire. When returning to the car the steering wheel was all out of line and the front offside wheel was rubbing against the wheel arch!

Took it to the garage, on inspection the bottom suspension arm was bent and the bearings in the wheels were knackered!

Garage were excellent though, they fixed the suspension arm today and the bearings will be done Monday morning :)

As you can imagine, was quite an expensive trip out today HA!

Can't believe where the time has gone this year!

My son was 1 last month, wicked party too, stacks of food left though.

He's going through what I hope is only a 'phase' of waking up screaming for no apparent reason during the night! normally as soon as my head hits the pillow too! hense I'm here typing! HA!

He's gone from sleeping 1900 - 0800hrs to this in the click of your fingers :S

Looking forward to Christmas though (receiving my presents anyway ^o)

Since it's first year my son will sort of understand what's going on around him it should be good.

Cannot wait until Friday too has this is my last day at work until the new year ;-)

Bonfire Night...

Another Bonfire night comes to a close, not that the fireworks will stop. probably go on till early hours of the morning!

Had a little display in the garden for little man, he loved them but started to get bored towards the end bless him.

Can'tbelieve he fell asleep during the highest point of the night for fireworks going off haha. Least he didn't fall asleep through my display.

Pleased we were finshed before the rain really kicked in though.

Halloween / Good Deeds...

Halloween...

We never done much to be honest, we were invited to a party but decided it was going to be to late for little fella getting back. So it was a curry (which was lovely but feeling it today ^o) and X-Factor night.

We stocked up with sweets for the kids knocking, Lewis (my son) was very confused with all the people coming to the door as we were giving away what he thought was his sweets! bless him.

One particular knock we had was from a couple (who were also dressed up) with there three kids. Dad was dressed as a ghost and their Mum dressed as a witch :D

As soon as I answered the door. He must have only been about two ish said,

'There was a big fire out here!'

A big fire?

His parents laughed and Mum said 'fireworks' to which he replied 'Yeah, a big scary one!'

This had us all in sitches the rest of the night :D

You can't write stuff like this!

Gave them a little extra, including the parents for there costumes.

That is what Halloween is all about. I hate it when you get people knocking who aren't even dressed up expecting money or sweets!

Good Deeds...

Well, even though the weather has been absolutly shocking today!

I've had a good day all in all. Went out for Sunday lunch with my family, then had a drive along the sea front.

The waves weren't half

giving it some, crashing off the side and over the top of the peer.

Visited my grandparents and then round to my parents :D

Little man is staying at his grandparents tonight too and already had them up once... oops!

It might be to do with the fact that he's ate so much today haha.

On my way from my grandparents, the wind was blowing like crazy, the rain had calmed down slightly. We were pulling out of a junction. and seen a poor little old lady trip on a loose paving slab! falling to the ground, shopping went everywhere!

As I reversed slightly to pull over people who would have also seen what happened were just driving past! That really pi$$es me off!

Thankfully she was ok but is probably going to feel the pain from her bashed knee in the morning.

Well, I've not made any updates for a few days now so here goes.

For those that know me will know I've been training for what must now be just under a year after having a 2-3 year gap, piling the weight back on in that time.

Anyway, once I found the motivation again to get myself back into the gym I have not looked back. I'd probably say it's become a slight addition (in a good way)

Not only making me feel better in myself but since re-joining I've shredded the fat. I was at a point in my life where my clothes were beginning to become to 'small' and worst of all I felt down and lifeless the majority of the time. But like I say I've since washed off the fat which was my initial intentions going from 18 stone down to 14 - 14.5 in a bout 6months. Roughly my goal weight for my height 6" - 6"1' training 5-6 times a week.

Since losing the excess fat I've started weight training again too, mainly to tone up and build muscle.

I've always seen specific classes going on in and around when at the gym so decided yesterday to also start Body Pump. I will be posting more about my training routines and diets in the near future so won't go into great detail here, but in short, this class basically consentrates on certain parts of the body for a set period of time (4-5 minutes) lasting 1 hour. Toning, building and washing off the remaining excess fat. More on this to follow... watch this space.

Little tired today as my son seems to have issues sleeping at the moment! bless him!

Weather is not helping either, another dark start to the day.

The Mrs has some of her family here this week too so we have a house full.

Hopefully work won't be to stressful this week... ^o)

These weeks are going by far too quite, can't beleive it's around 12 weeks to Chrsitmas. Doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago since the last one.

Called sky today to have the sky dish relocated, at the moment is on the side of the house. When windy like it is now, it's like a wind tunnel (semi detached) so, as a result the dish keeps losing signal making watching TV impossible. They advised me, because the equipment is out of warranty there would be a £65 charge to have it moved! I don't think so, like I told them. The problem is not actually with the equipment so know need for the warranty, it the placement of the equipment. They wouldn't have any of it! I've had to raise a complaint, so watch this space for the outcome.

Off now to chillax, prob in front of a DVD and a curry ;-)

Can't remember the last time I had pizza and need a change from diet, so just ordered a pizza hut! will probably regret it afterwards tho I suppose. Nevermind one day off the deit won't hurt I suppose, back on it tomorrow and work twice as hard in the gym ;-) it balances itself out... not sure who I'm trying to convince here...

After continuing to battle with Fasthosts for another day yesterday, I gathered all my evidence together and sent it over this morning. Finally, they have agreed to wavier the fees!

Today was going to be final day trying to resolve this case myself before contacting Watchdog, anyway all sorted now :D

Ok, so Fasthosts contacted me again this morning advising they are still not prepared to waiver the outstanding fees.

Since voicing my views over the phone to them yesterday, guess what!? their mail servers now appear to be working correctly.

I sent a quick test email to the same address I was trying yesterday and low and be-hold the same person dealing with my case replied.

So, I drafted another email documenting again all what had happened advising that I will be contacting Watchdog with my case and all the evidence I have gathered.

I am not prepared to pay out for a service which I have never used and what should have been cancelled if there mail servers had been working correctly.

Certain people are put here just to piss us off, I'm sure. I'm convinced that life is one huge game of monopoly or the SIMs where someone somewhere is having a cracking time.

I Received an email from one of my hosting companies today demanding money for a service I have never used with them, I had contacted them prior to there given date to cancel this part of the package but they tell me the correspondence was not received, yet I had not received anything to say otherwise.

I argued for what must have been around 1.5 to 2 hrs on the phone to 3 different people. I lost it completely!

One of things I can't stand is when these so called help desks, based in the middle east can hardly speak a word of English and try to reason with you. All they can do is repeat themselves because they're reading from a script.

I was advised to send my complaint via email to the correct department (escalation don't have phones so I'm told) anyway the emails kept bouncing back so they were trying to blame my ISP. Even technical support said send the email to blah blah blah. At that point I flipped my lid!

BTW other personal emails were sending fine so it deffo wasn't my ISP, but could I get this through to them... could I £^%$£%^

He finally took my phone number and said someone will call me back from the escalation dept (hang on I thought they didn't have phones!?) they contacted me VIA EMAIL, which they no was causing the main issue in the first place (I gve up) advising that these charges cannot be lifted, I've replied but not yet hand any response (and no bounce back) so we will wait and see. I will be contacting Watchdog to have this escalated even further if they still refuse to lift the charges.

Once the issue is resolved I will be transferring the domain registered with them to someone else too... btw the company I am having the issues with is Fasthosts UK

The other company I use to register domain is Go Daddy and I cannot fault them, been with them for years, Excellent support and control panel.

STAY CLEAR OF FASTHOSTS UK!!!

Well, after manging to drag myself out of bed this morning it's been another 'exciting' day in the office. (Same sh*t different day) The only good thing about it is, were closer to the weekend :D

Working on the new design of my site too, check it out www.websmartin.co.uk still quite a few updates to do, mainly to the front end but it's coming together.
